Renovation update and choosing paint

My blog posts have been a bit few and far between recently. This is mostly because I've been away with family to Yorkshire for a week. I would have scheduled some posts over the week but I have been too busy with work for my course, finishing my job and renovating the house.

So here is what's new.

  • I start my new job tomorrow and I'm getting scared!
  • We have decided to tile the bathroom in our house ourselves. We had a quote through for around £600. It's literally about 1.5 metres by 2 metres, and there's no way I was going to pay that! We bought the supplied today. I'm getting scared about this too!
  • We have been buying paint samples for the rooms.
  • The house has been plastered and double glazing has been installed, but not yet finished.
So, the big deal at the moment (for me) is picking paint. I have bought too many tester pots and I'm getting excited. Here are my favourites at the moment. I need to wait for the plaster to dry to try them on the wall so I haven't tested them properly yet.
Light blue - Farrow and Ball
Moonstone grey - Craig and Rose

Chic shadow - Dulux

There is so much choice and so many lovely colours to choose from. I've spent about £30 on testers already (although that includes two Farrow and Ball ones for a whopping £3.99 each!).

Hopefully once the walls are dry and primed, It will all become clear. It's so exciting though! Wall painting and floor choosing are the most exciting parts of renovation!

Thanks Angela! My boyfriend doesn't like grey paint but I think it's such a nice neutral colour. I'm a bit bored of beige and magnolia.

Which grey Julianne? The Moonstone or the chic shadow? I can't decide!

Thanks for your comment!
